Richard Sewell is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Health Policy and Administration and the Associate Dean for Community and Public Health Practice at the School of Public Health. Mr. Sewell has an MPH in Health Administration from the University of Oklahoma and Certificates in Finance for Health Executives from Northwestern University and from the Health Executives Development Program at Cornell University. Prior to UIC, he served as Senior Vice President for United Way in Chicago, was Executive Director of the Chicago Health Policy Council at the University of Chicago and Deputy Commissioner of Public Health and Clinical Services at the Chicago Department of Public Health. Mr. Sewell currently teaches HPA 444: Strategic Planning and Budgeting and HPA 443: Health Planning: Concepts and Practice.
